I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have a trusting relationship with an open line of communication with your vet. It’s no different than choosing a pediatrician for your child, or a general practitioner for yourself. PLEASE shop around if you feel their prices are too high, chances are you’re right and you can find a more affordable, and often more experienced, vet.
No one wants to have to run to the $200/hr emergency clinic on Sunday morning, so find out if your vet’s office has someone on call on evenings and weekends for you to consult with to decide if it’s really an emergency or if it can wait until their office opens on Monday. When we consumers expect more “service” from our service providers, I find that most will rise to the occasion.
Please remember, you can always call, text, or email with any questions or for any information not yet posted on our website. If you call and get voicemail, please do leave a message. We are in the country and cell coverage can be spotty at times, but we will get back to you the same day!
